About
M.E.L.T. Centre
“M.E.L.T. - Teaching through Love for Ethnic Minorities” is an initiative funded by the BOCHK Centenary Charity Programme. The initial phase of the Project involves setting up a Multicultural Ethnic-Link Teen Centre each in the Yau Tsim Mong District and the Yuen Long and Tin Shui Wan area. Each Centre has a classroom with a capacity for 20 people and a public space for use by members of minority ethnic groups. Chinese language classes and career planning talks and workshops are also held at the Centres targeted at ethnic minority youths and adults.
Vision
The project adheres to advocating the integration of ethnic minorities into Hong Kong society, and organises various activities with local communities to break through geographical and cultural boundaries and build a multicultural and racially harmonious community.
Mission
We provide social service, education and career support, and cultural inclusion activities to help disadvantaged groups including ethnic minorities integrate into the community and make contributions, as well as to work with them to build a society of mutual aid, diversity and inclusion.
